Terms & Conditions

Passengers are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the following conditions. IK CHIN TRAVEL SERVICE (S) PTE LTD shall be known as “The Company” in the conditions below.

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT

A minimum deposit per passenger is required upon reservation. The payment of deposit does not constitute the confirmation of tour. Full payment is required 21 days prior to tour departure date. Failure to comply with this may result in an automatic cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of deposit. In such an event, the Cancellation Fee will apply.

CREDIT CARD / NETS / CHARGE CARD

For payment made through credit card, NETS or charge card, an administrative fee is chargeable. The Company strongly advises you to make your payment in CASH. In cases of credit card payment, refunds (if applicable) will be made through the Credit Card Company. The Passenger is liable to pay for any administrative charges, if any, chargeable by the Credit Card companies.

CANCELLATION

The Passenger is allowed to cancel the reservation by writing prior to the departure date. However, the Passenger shall be responsible for any expenses incurred by the Company in respect of making the reservation and canceling the same. Certain Tour Fares or Air Ticket Fares may have conditions which limit or exclude your right to cancel your reservations. In such events, the FULL TOUR FARE or TICKET FARE with taxes will be levied accordingly.

Cancellation fee is chargeable based on the length of notice period given to The Company prior to the departure.

(c) 8 - 20 days prior to departure 75% of tour fare
(d) Less than 7 days prior to departure 100% of tour fare

The above cancellation charges are chargeable regardless of any unforeseen circumstances.

AMENDMENTS

For each amendment made by the Passenger after a confirmed booking, an amendment fee of S$50 per passenger will be charged in addition to any other charges levied by the respective service providers or Airline Companies. An amendment fee does not constitute a transfer to another tour, wherein administrative fee of S$30 per passenger will be levied in addition to the amendment fee.

An administrative fee of S$30 per passenger will be levied for any visa application rejection by respective Embassy in addition to the relevant cancellation charges.

Certain Air Fare may limit your right to make any amendment after reservation of air seat or ticket issuance.

The Company makes every effort to avoid changes in itinerary. However, the Company reserves the right to make necessary amendments, changes or deletions in the itinerary at any time without compensation, especially during the peak season and unforeseen circumstances.

REFUNDS ON USED SERVICES

The Company is acting as an agent for the service rendered. Any reservation made with payment of deposit or full tour fare does not constitute the confirmation of Tour. If for some unforeseen circumstances the arrangements cannot be confirmed, The Company shall endeavor to notify passenger at least 7 days before departure. At times due to insufficient passengers to form a group tour, the Company may cancel the entire tour 14 days prior to departure. In such events, the Company shall refund by ‘crossed cheque’ within 7 working days from date of cancellation. Should payment made to the Company by Credit Card, refund shall be made through the respective Credit Card Company.

In the case of Air Ticket, Cruise Packages or hotel Accommodations, Terms & Conditions contained in the third party service providers shall complement this Terms & Conditions. In such events, refund may not be available or come into existence for partially used or totally unused services.

No refunds, either in part or in full, will be made for air tickets, ground transportation, accommodation, meal, or sightseeing program included in the Tour Price but not utilized by the Passenger.

*Special Note:

  1. The usual processing time for Air Ticket refund varies between 3 and 6 months. The refund process period is at the sole discretion of each individual Airline Company.
  2. The Company shall not be held responsible for any contingent costs incurred by the Passengers resulting from the cancellation.

TOUR PRICES

Tour Prices shown are current at the time of publication of the brochure or the list which form part of the brochure. They are subject to revision without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances like currency fluctuations, increases in hotel rates, airfares, other transportation costs, government taxes, etc.

TOUR PRICE INCLUDES (TOUR PACKAGES ONLY)

  • Return economy class group excursion tour air ticket.
  • Airport transfer (if any), meals (if any), and tours as specified in the tour brochure, itinerary or booking form.
  • Hotel accommodation on twin / *triple sharing basis (*the third bed will be a “roll-away” bed).
  • Single room occupancy is at additional cost.
  • All meals are as specified in the itinerary. If selected carrier’s flight time does not allow for certain meals to be taken, there shall not be any refund for meals not consumed.
  • Baggage allowance of 20 kilos per passenger.

TOUR PRICE EXCLUDES

Tour Price does not include Airport Taxes, Fuel Surcharges, Security Taxes & any other taxes attached to air ticket at time of purchase. All taxes and charges quoted at time of purchase are subject to changes. Passengers will be advised of the actual amount of taxes & charges on or after date of Air Ticket issuance.

  • Customs duties
  • Visa fee and other service fees.
  • Laundry, beverage, room services, telephone charges, etc.
  • Travel insurance.
  • Excess baggage charges.
  • Tipping or gratuities to driver, tour guides, tour leaders and hotel porters.
  • All other expenses of a personal nature

CHILD FARE

Eligibility: Below 12 years as on the date of departure from Singapore and during tour.

Child fare is based on sharing room with two adults. There will be an additional cost of child sharing room with an adult/adults. *Please note that some airline companies and ground arrangements do not practise Child Fare. The Company will advise the Passenger at the time of reservation for such exception.

ACCOMMODATION

In the event that accommodation booked or requested is not available, every effort will be made for an alternative hotel of similar standard. Accommodation for adults is based on twin or double sharing. When booking triple-share rooms, please take note that the third bed may be a “roll-away” bed. Triple sharing for all tours shall be subject to availability and request only (as some hotels do not have triple share rooms). Single room occupancy is required to pay a single supplement.

SEAT ROTATION

For the convenience of all members of the group, passengers are requested to rotate their seating arrangements on the coach during the period of the tour. We appreciate your co-operation when called upon to do so by the tour leader / guide.

LOSS OF BAGGAGE / PERSONAL BELONGINGS

The Company assumes no responsibility for any loss or damage to baggage or belongings (checked in or hand carried) whilst they are in the custody of the airlines, other transportation companies, accommodation suppliers, during their stay in the hotel inclusive those kept in the safe deposit box or the Passenger. However, the Company will assist you in making the relevant claim(s) provided it does not interfere with, inconvenience or hamper the conduct of the tour or other members of the tour group.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that you purchase Travel Insurance coverage with respect to trip cancellation, personal baggage loss, personal accident, injury and illness.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure a valid international passport with minimum 6 months’ validity from date of the last embarkation point. The passenger is also responsible to ensure that relevant valid visa, current health or vaccination certificate and any other necessary documents as required by the various government authorities of the countries to be visited.

EXTENSION AND DEVIATION OF STAY / RETURN FLIGHT

Extension of stay/deviation may be permitted at the end of tour, subject to maximum validity and restriction of air ticket, seat confirmation and availability of accommodation prior to commencement of tour. It is the passenger’s responsibility to hold firm confirmation for their return flight. When extension of stay/deviation is unable to confirm 14 days before departure, the passenger is deemed to be taking the original tour schedule. All expenses incurred from the process of arranging the extension or deviation of stay will be borne by the Passenger. Note that no departure airport transfer, food and lodging and tours will be provided for the Passenger who extends or deviates from the main group. Reverting to the original tour schedule is not permitted once it has been confirmed.

RIGHT TO REJECT OR CANCEL

The Company reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any itinerary or booking made for a passenger for any reason including insufficient number of participants and non-confirmation of flights and other arrangement(s). The Company also has the right to decline acceptance or to retain any person as member of the tour if it appears that such person(s) is likely to endanger the health or safety, or impair the comfort and enjoyment of others on the tour.

POSSIBLE CHANGES

The Company reserves the right to alter, cancel or change any part of the content of itinerary including sightseeing, food and lodging due to change of Airline schedules, weather, local conditions & unforeseen circumstances.

LIABILITIES

The Company is only an acting agent for the holiday components and will not be held responsible for any changes, acts of discretion or inconvenience caused by our suppliers and appointed agents. In no case shall The Company or their employees or agents be liable for any causes outside their reasonable control or from any act or omission of the Passenger.

The airlines and transportation companies shall be exempted from all liabilities in respect of any detention, delay, loss, danger, sickness or injury by whosoever caused and of whatever kind occurring of or to passenger at any time when the Passenger is not onboard a carrier of conveyance used or operated by the transportation companies.

Every passenger participating in any tour / holiday organized by the Company shall be regarded as carrying his own risk with respect to loss or injury to person or property. The Passenger accepts full responsibility for losses and expenses which arise from any of the following events:-

  1. flight delay or cancellation, traffic congestion, vehicle breakdown, accident;
  2. sickness, food poisoning; quarantine;
  3. inclement weather, flood, Acts of God;
  4. strikes, war, civil disorder, military operations;
  5. theft, robbery or lost property

The Company shall not be held responsible for the deportation or refusal of entry by immigration authorities or tour members resulting from improper travel documents, possession of unlawful items or irregularities that may be caused to person or property. All proper travel documentation is the sole responsibilities of the passengers.

The Company reserves the right to alter any route, itinerary and/or accommodation without prior notice to the passenger if it shall in its sole and absolute discretion think this fit or in case of force majeure.

The Company reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to departure for any reasons including insufficient number of participants.

No guides, tour leaders or other employees or agents of The Company is authorized to commit The Company to any liability whatsoever and the Company will not be bound by statement or representation unless it is in writing and signed by The Managing Director or a Director of The Company.

Programs, tour prices, services and conditions are correct as at the time of publication. The Company reserves the right to make changes as and when necessary without prior notice to the Passenger.

COMPLAINTS/CLAIMS

Any complaint/claim must be made in writing within 14 days after services rendered, failing which the Company shall accept no responsibility.

MISCELLANEOUS

The Company reserves the right to change, amend, insert or delete any of the Terms & Conditions mentioned hereinbefore without prior notice.

Terms & Conditions laid down by the Airline Companies, hotels, transport companies, cruise companies and other service suppliers complement this Terms & Conditions.
