Travelling within SEA for a short holiday? Here are the travel requirements for our 4 favorite countries

Now that the borders are open, you might be thinking of going for a short getaway out of Singapore. We hope you have your passports ready as it has been 2 years since we could do any overseas holiday!
Understanding the travel requirements of different destinations may take you some time, so for your convenience, we have put together an all-you-need-to-know guide on how to visit our SEA neighbours. Hope you will find this useful for your upcoming travel plans!
Malaysia
Dreaming of a durian feast? Or stocking up on your essentials at a bargain? This is easily the beloved travel destination for Singaporeans! Currently, the travel requirements are differentiated based on Air or Land travel.
By Air
Do I need testing?:
Travellers from Singapore can choose to do a supervised ART test from authorised vendors. (link) Other travellers would need to do Pre-Departure PCR Test 2 days before your flight.
Proof of Vaccination: Go to https://www.notarise.gov.sg/ to notarise your vaccination records. Then upload them on My Sejahtera (Malaysia’s contact tracing app). We still recommend bringing a copy of your vaccination certificates with you whenever you travel.
Contact Tracing App: Download MySejahtera app on your mobile phone and upload your vaccination status.
Pre Departure forms- Update pre departure form via the My Sejahtera app. You can find it in the Traveller icon on the main page. You can watch our how-to video here (provide link)
Travel Insurance: Minimum coverage of US$20,000 for COVID-19 related medical treatment
If you are not fully vaccinated, there is a 5 day quarantine required.

By Land
The process for Land travel is much easier. No testing & travel insurance is required. You just need to download MySejahtera, upload your vaccination status and submit the pre-departure form.
Thailand
A land of smiles! Another country that hit the news announcing streamlined measures for tourists. There are 3 schemes to choose from to enter the country. Fully vaccinated tourists can choose either the Test & Go or the Sandbox programme (applicable mostly to beach destinations) while those not fully vaccinated can use the Alternative quarantine scheme.
Test & Go
Do I need testing?: PCR test on arrival. You will need to stay 1 night in their approved accommodation to wait for your result, which usually takes 24 hrs. On day 5, you are required to take a self ART test and submit the result.
Proof of Vaccination: Go to https://www.notarise.gov.sg/ to notarise your vaccination records, and print your vaccination certificate and bring it with you
Pre Departure forms-Thailand pass: Apply for Thailand pass at least 1 week before departure at https://tp.consular.go.th/
Contact tracing App: Download their contact tracing app Mor Chana
Travel insurance: Minimum coverage of US$20,000 for COVID-19 related medical treatment
Sand Box Programme (only applicable to Sand Box areas)
Current sandbox areas: Chon Buri, Krabi, Phangnga, Phuket, Surat Thani, Trat
For the SandBox programme, you are required to stay in the sandbox area for 5 days. You need to take 1 PCR & 1 ART test during your stay.

Vietnam
Craving for authentic banh mi and pho? Vietnam has also opened the country to tourists - no quarantine needed, regardless of vaccination status!
Do I need testing?: PCR test 72 hours or ART 24 hrs before departure by authorised vendor. Do remember to notarise your test results at https://www.notarise.gov.sg/, print out and bring them with you.

Pre Departure forms: Submit a health declaration at http://tokhaiyte.vn/ before your arrival in Vietnam
Travel insurance: Minimum coverage of US$10,000 for COVID-19 related medical treatment

Indonesia
Border measures are currently in the midst of streamline and there may be more updates coming our way. This is what we know so far
Do I need testing?: PCR testing is required 48 hours before departure.Do remember to notarise your test results at https://www.notarise.gov.sg/, print out and bring them with you.
On arrival, if the body temperature is below 37.5 degrees (and no covid symptoms), you do not need to have a PCR on arrival.
Vaccination Certificate: Go to https://www.notarise.gov.sg/ to notarise your vaccination records, print your vaccination certificate and bring it with you as you will need to furnish it to the customs officer.
If you are not fully vaccinated (at least 2 doses), you need to serve 5 days of quarantine in the accommodation.
