Assemble at Singapore Changi International Airport for your flight to Colombo. On arrival, drive to Negombo where you will check in to your hotel and rest for the night.
In the morning, visit the Spice Garden, an agricultural zone in the Central Province extending from tea, rubber & vegetables to spices. Following that, head to the World Heritage Town of Kandy and also the last royal capital of Sri Lankan kings. There, visit the Temple of the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha and explore the Kandy City Centre featuring the latest brands, bazaar, local arts & crafts centre, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables in the Kandy market. Cap off the evening with a cultural show featuring traditional music & drumming that showcase the rich and vibrant culture of the Wonder of Asia, Sri Lanka.
After breakfast, travel to Peradeniya where you will board the train to get into the tea county (about 3hrs 10mins), Nuwara Eliya. There, enjoy the cold and misty surroundings and have an ultimate tea tour, covering lush green blankets of tea plantations.
Depart at 05.30am for Horton Plains National Park. This excursion would take about 3 hours by foot on the designated track. More than 2000 Sambhur, Bear Monkey, Leopard, Barking Deer, giant Squirrel and many more can be spotted in the forests & grasslands. Sambhur will be the easiest animal to spot along the hike. Following that, visit Tea Factory & Tea Plantation in the afternoon.
Drive to Hakgala, another prominent peak besides Nuwara Eliya and visit the Hakgala Botanical Gardens located at the foot of Hakgala. Following that, explore Yala National Park famous for its big herds of wildlife. There, you will enjoy the evening jeep safari. Spend the night staying over in the National Park.
Leave the national park in the morning and head towards Galle. Along the coast see the Stilt fishing done by local fishermen – their daily routine method of fishing. You will see fishermen perched far from shore atop crude crucifixes of sticks and twine, dangling fishing rods into schools of fish. Upon arrival in Galle explore Sri Lanka’s most historically interesting town. Here you can stroll around the lighthouse, harbor or shop at the old town. Also visit The Dutch Fort, a World heritage site and the oldest landmark of the south coast city.
This morning carry along your packed breakfast and proceed for Whale & Dolphin watching. In the warm Indian Ocean you can see various types of whales like Blue whales, Bryde´s whales, Sperm whales, Fin whales and many more.
Free & easy in the morning. Drive to Colombo in the afternoon where we will procced for a Colombo city tour – visit the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens, Sea Street, former British administrative center and military garrison. Shopping – visit Odel for indulge designer wear apparel. Visit Barefoot for Toys, Bags, Clothes, Handloom Fabric Sarongs, Sarees etc. After dinner you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight back to Singapore.
