Itinerary

01 SINGAPORE  SHANGHAI  WUXI

Depart for Shanghai, a metropolis without a province, made up of surrounding rural districts. Our local representative will welcome you on arrival and transfer to Wuxi for overnight stay.

02 WUXI  MT. JIUHUA

This morning, visit Lingshan Big Buddha (Includes tram ride). With a height of more than 88m, this outdoor bronze Sakyamuni Buddha statue weigh over 700 tons. Also visit Lingshan Brahma Palace a multi-functional cultural building for tourism, exhibitions and cultural experiences. It has been built beside a mountain in the integration of the Chinese Buddhist rock-cave art and traditional Buddhist building elements. After lunch, visit Zisha Teapot Gallery and then proceed to Mt. Jiuhua for overnight stay.

03 MT. JIUHUA

After breakfast ,we will visit Roushen Temple built in the traditional Chinese temple style with an open courtyard in the middle surrounded by halls. Next, proceed to Baisuigong Temple (Includes tram ride) by tram that runs up the hill to the peak. Originally named the Star Picking Temple, it was later given its present name in the 16th century when the eminent monk Wu Xia moved to the mountain for the last days of his life. Legend says that after the monk visited temples on Wutai and Emei mountains, he compiled the Huayan Sutras (written in gold dust and his own blood) and died on Jiuhuashan at age 110. When Emperor Chongzheng of the Qing Dynasty came to power, he had the body of Wu Xia covered in gold leaf and placed in the temple. Following that, visit Hua Cheng Temple, the oldest and most prominent temple in Mt. Jiuhua. It has a history of more than 1,500 years and also acts as a cultural and historical museum. Lastly, visit Zhi Yuan Temple which houses three giant images of Buddha, which is the biggest of all statues in Mt. Jiuhua.

04 MT. JIUHUA  MT. HUANGSHAN

After breakfast, drive to Mt Huangshan (Includes cable car ride). “Huangshan”, which is reputed to be the “No. 1 Mountain Under the Heaven”. Bright Summit is the best place for seeing sunrise and sea of clouds.  Sightseeing here includes Beihai Area , Bright Summit, Cloud Valley etc.

05 MT. HUANGSHAN  HANGZHOU

This morning, drive to Hangzhou. After lunch, we will visit Tiger Spring Temple, a very nice garden featuring odd-shaped rocks and sweet Osmanthus trees. Then, visit Hefang Street a shopping area showcasing a variety of Chinese crafts, such as land-blown sugar candy, paper-cutting and also a variety of local snacks such as “dragon-whisker” candy.

06 HANGZHOU  SUZHOU  WUZHEN  XIZHA

Visit Jingci Temple this morning. Situated at the foot of Huiri Peak of Nanping Hill, it is listed as a key Buddhist temple by state council in 1983. First constructed in AD 954 by Qian Hongji, the king of Wuyue Dynasty for a famous monk named Yong Ming, its name was changed to Jingci Temple in South Song Dynasty. Also visit Longjing Tea House. After lunch, drive to Suzhou and visit Hanshan Monastery. Situated in Fengqiao Town outside Suzhou’s Changmen gate, it was first built during Tianjin Reign of the Liang Dynasty. After which, visit Seven Mile Shantang Street (Includes boat ride).  In AD 825, during Tang Dynasty, the famous poet and politician Bai Juyi started the project of digging the canal and building the dam. Due to its prosperouness in Ming and Qing Dynasty, it is regarded as the “No.1 Ancient Street in China”. Afterwards visit the Silk Factory and we will drive to Wuzhen Xizha for overnight stay.

07 WUZHEN  XIZHA  SHANGHAI

After breakfast, visit Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area. Then drive on to Shanghai and visit Tian Zi Fang an arts and crafts enclave that has developed from a renovated residential area in the French Concession area of Shanghai. Free and easy after your transfer to the hotel for check-in.

Free and easy till time to transfer to airport for flight back to Singapore.
